Gen 3 Portals Are Geared for All
The Polaris General XP 1000 is a machine designed for all kinds of riding. That’s why we made the GDP 6” Portal Gear Lift with multiple gear reduction options. Choose between a 30% and 45% gear reduction to match your style. With options for cast or billet aluminum housings, these portals are geared for all.

GDP—the Most Trusted Name in Portals
If you’re not sure if they’re right for you, just ask any of the thousands of riders already rocking GDP portals that decided it was right for them. More riders roll on GDP portals than any other portal system. They’re the most used and most real-world proven portals you can get.

Perfect for Mud
You can’t go to a mud park in America without coming across a set of portals. That’s for good reason—portals and mud go together like peanut butter and jelly. The deeper you go, the more you’ll notice the torque from your gear reduction. And that 6” lift will keep you from getting swamped.

A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
With the gear reduction all the way at the hub, you get reduced stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission. That means your components will last longer than stock even though you’re riding harder.

Unmatched Gear Material
Gears are the most vital part of a portal gear lift. We made ours the most premium, top-of-the-line gears you can get. They’re made from precision-ground 9310 alloy steel that meshes perfectly and gives you smooth, quiet portal boxes. That means you can ride hard—our quality is up to the task.

Stronger Housings by Design
You might think strength is a matter of brute force, but it’s all about finesse. We’ve spent years tweaking and honing our portal housings to make them as strong as possible. With tens of thousands of housings in the wild proving their strength every weekend, you know you’re getting the best. So go with cast or super-sleek, USA-made billet aluminum—either way, you’re getting the best.
  • Our housings are reinforced in all the right places
  • They’re built with better oil flow and gearing forces in mind
  • There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get
We use an advanced steel alloy for our backing plates not because we wanted to make them the strongest on the planet, but because it’s what you need. They’re stronger than chromoly and, at 5/16 inches thick, they’ll stand up to anything and everything the trail throws at you.

Advanced Gaskets and Seals
Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:
  • Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets with excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
  • A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
  • 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
Bearings That Rock
We didn’t cut corners with our bearings either. The output bearing is a double-angular contact bearing that’s built to take huge loads from bumps, rocks, logs, and holes without wearing prematurely. We use roller bearings for the idler gears that are designed to withstand the large forces caused by the gear reduction itself. We made them as stronger as possible because we know a bad bearing means a busted box.

Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors
Get the braking power you need, when you need it, with our precision-ground, stainless steel slotted rotors that stay cool. Plus our universal hubs make your life easier with 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs. You’ll be able to run almost any side-by-side tire under the sun with these hubs. We also invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to. It gives you a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time.
