Due to the increased strength of the 30 spline axle shafts we are currently not offering a warranty on the TL-SM230 at this time. Torq-Masters is not responsible for any collateral damage caused from a failure of any of our manufactured components, or failure of OEM components. Also note that some aftermarket front axles, like RCV, can not be modified to use rear axle plunging joints. You will need additional complete aftermarket rear axles to run the TL-SM230 TORQ Locker in your front SmartLok differential. TL-SM230 is designed to utilize very strong and budget friendly aftermarket rear axles

We recommend limiting suspension droop by 1” using limit straps and running a sway bar.

Can-Am Axle splines comparison

Additional information about Can-Am axle shafts/inner plunging joints. Here’s what’s important: Shear stress is the most important contributor to axle failures. Shear stress is inversely proportional radius^4. So a shaft twice the diameter is 8x stronger.

The weakest point in a Can-Am axle shaft is the circlip recess where the axle diameter is even smaller. This was an issue with the ViscoLok 21 spline axles because the spider gears engaged the axle splines before and after the circlip recess. The Smart Lok spider gear and TORQ Locker axle gear can not engage the axle spines after the recess. Shearing the tip off a SmartLok 24 spline axle or a Can-Am 30 spline rear axle is not an issue.

Torq-Masters team of engineers make every effort to ensure that the model fitment listed is accurate. However, due to vehicle manufacturers differential options, using available inventory, prior vehicle owner modifications, etc. it is the customers responsibility to confirm that the model TORQ Locker they order fits their differential.
