Description:
The Stronger Transmission Your General XP Deserves
You’re the kind of person that likes to put the pedal down and enjoy the balls-to-the-wall action your General is capable of… even if your stock tranny isn’t. Our Polaris General XP 1000 Complete Heavy-Duty Transmission is for people like you. Our built-to-order trannies are tested thoroughly before shipping to make sure you get the quality and performance you need. They’re also upgraded inside and out with lapped gears that won’t slip and a beefed up case. They even have the option to delete turf mode to boost overall durability. Every part is better than stock to give you the power and performance you need.
A Beefed-Up Reverse Chain
One of the most common Polaris General transmission problems is the reverse chain. You get stuck, throw it in reverse, and your reverse chain snaps. That’s why ours is upgraded to a double reverse chain to give you nearly twice the strength of stock. It’s built to pull you out of anything you can get yourself stuck in.
A Better Pinion and Snorkel Gear
The pinion and snorkel gears work together to transfer power to your drive shaft. On stock, they can overheat, separate, and rip each other apart. Ours are made stronger with 9310 alloy steel and lapped together for perfectly smooth, broken-in operation from the first mile. To top it all off, you get a 300M alloy steel front output shaft that’s 41% stronger than stock.
A Thicker Pinion Bearing Retainer
No matter how good your gears are, a thin pinion bearing retainer can cause poor meshing and shorten their lifespan. Our pinion bearing retainer is thicker to prevent your pinion and snorkel gears from pulling apart and chipping teeth.
A Transmission Case Improved in All the Right Ways
All the internal improvements don’t get you anywhere if you don’t have a transmission case that can hold it all together. Stock cases are prone to flexing when they heat up, which leads to gears separating. Our upgraded case uses 68% more material where you need it most—on the axle outputs and snorkel tube. It also incorporates extra ribs and gussets for increased strength and improved cooling.
Choose Your Polaris General XP 1000 Gear Reduction
Boost your torque by getting our upgraded transmission with a gear reduction preinstalled. Choose from stock, 12.5%, 25%, and 37.5% gear reductions to get boosted performance. A gear reduction is ideal for when you run bigger tires or add extra weight to your machine. That extra power will push you through rough trails and nasty mud pits easier.
